ABOUT THE PROJECT

As part of a usability assessment, we conducted a heuristic evaluation of Tastecard to identify key pain points and areas for improvement. By analysing the app against established usability heuristics, we aimed to measure its effectiveness, accessibility, and overall user experience. Our evaluation provided insights into how well the platform supports user needs when discovering and redeeming dining deals.

OVERVIEW

Problem

While Tastecard offers valuable dining discounts, usability challenges hinder the overall experience. Users often struggle with navigation, sign ups, deal discovery, and redemption, leading to frustration and potential drop-off.

Outcome

Our heuristic evaluation revealed critical usability issues, informing recommendations to enhance navigation, improve deal visibility, and streamline the redemption process, ultimately creating a more seamless dining deal experience.

HEURISTIC EVALUATION

To better understand the usability challenges within the Tastecard app, we conducted a heuristic evaluation, identifying key issues based on established usability principles. The table below highlights the most critical problems, the heuristics they violated, their severity, and recommendations for improvement.

ITERATIONS

Based on our heuristic evaluation, we implemented key design improvements to address the identified usability issues. The following images showcase the changes made to enhance navigation, clarity, and overall user experience.
